Turntable of early model; mask and wings weren't finished yet
Work on exosuits, laced with artificial muscles meant to complement our own, and skeletal joints allowing for redistributed loads through entire limbs. The idea is to be able to "glide" alongside the air colony for repairs and EVA work. The form of the suit borrows heavily from sea life and creatures with exoskeletons.
The final wings are designed to be like shutterable dragonfly wings; the density of the air, even at 50k, above Venus, is fifty to sixty-five times what it is on Earth! For a human being moving at just ten meters per second, that's a Reynolds number of something short of forty million. So, navigating it is going to be pretty crazy. It should feel something like an endlessly rising tide.
This should be adjustable for each of my characters, with modular color schemes, too. The last thing it's waiting for is some kind of crampon and shin reinforcement; I'm considering modeling that after talons. From an engineering standpoint, it's meant to both reinforce muscular movement and leave you feeling entirely uninhibited.
