Sky Blazers — The Symposium

Just an early piece from Sky Blazers! It's important to remember that these pages don't get cranked out ready to print; there are multiple layers to it, including page composition. The general steps are to compose the flow of the book first, in black and white, and test that; then, build compositions in each panel. After I've got panel compositions, I excuse those compositions with physical objects describing the scene. Top down, rough to fine.

This is going to need some more passes before I'm convinced it's ready, but it was a reasonably good day with the piece.
